Among those graduates who were in full-time employment, 87% secured their first job offer before the end of September. By the end of December, the figure reached 98%. Compared with last year, B. Soc. Sc. graduates, on average, took shorter time to secure employment. (Figure 1)

67% of the B. Soc. Sc. graduates were employed in commerce and industry, followed by 13% in education. 11% joined the community, social & personal services sector and 9.3% joined the civil service. Compared with female graduates, there was a higher percentage of male graduates joining commerce and industry (74% vs. 64%). (Figure 3)

62% graduates in full-time employment had more than one job offer. 31% reported having received three or more job offers (Figure 4). On average, each B.Soc.Sc. graduate received 2.1 job offers, compared with 2.0 last year.
